Demobunnies
The Demobunnies Art Exhibition presents the etchings of Pirita Paananen and demos. The exhibition is produced in co-operation by the artist Pirita Paananen and Alternative Party association. The demos are presented with Demowall -concept. We have four different playlists for you to enjoy, each lasting 15 minutes. As the devices we present the demos with are behind a glass we are offering you an option to enjoy the music with your own device: we have FM-transmitters so you can take your very own mobile phone and find the correct frequency with your radio in order to hear the music.
Demos are music video like digital art pieces, where the stunning visuals are created mainly with the code. The code is supported with 2D- or 3D-computer graphics and music. Demos are created by people who are part of demoscene, an underground culture in which the roots of finnish gaming industry are.
The etchings of Pirita Paananen present a sad and tragic bunny. They illustrate the loneliness and hardness of todays world. Etching is a traditional art form that is getting more and more attention among the masses.
This is a rare occasion where demos are presented in this kind of an envinronment with something as fragile as the etchings of Paananen are. Besides being a setup where two different art forms meet and greet each other, it is also the first time this amount of works from Paananen are available to the audiences.
Exhibition takes place in Kahden Neliön Galleria at Fredrikinkatu 28, Helsinki. Exhibition opens on 3rd of October 2014 and will be there until November 2014 (we'll update on the exact closing date as soon as we figure it out).
